The promoters of the Monster Energy AUS-X Open Sydney confirmed today that American rider Justin Barcia will miss the November 9/10 event. They also explained why Bam Bam had no choice but to disappoint his Australian fans.
The 26-year-old will undergo eye surgery it has been revealed with Dean Wilson announced as his replacement.
The promoters say Barcia was unable to plan the surgery at a time that does not clash with the schedule but they have worked tirelessly to secure a star rider line-up for the Supercross event with Ryan Villopoto, Jason Anderson and Australiaās own Chad Reed all confirmed.
Tickets are still available for the AUS-X Open Sydney which is set for November 9 and 10 at Qudos Bank Arena.
