A photograph of a pro rider posted on Instagram yesterday has further fuelled the rumour fire in the US.

Harrison Images spotted what he called a “mystery rider” at Lake Elsinore MX yesterday. Vital MX has run with that and say that the mystery rider is, in fact, Justin Bogle. The 2014 East Coast Lites champion had a tough time of it in 2016, being sidelined for almost half the US Outdoors.

The GEICO Honda rider grabbed the holeshot in moto two at Southwick National but a collision with Rockstar Husqvarna’s Christophe Pourcel caused Bogle to go down. He then pulled himself back up to 12th before going down hard. The Oklahoma-born rider was expected to return after missing a couple of rounds but the neck injury sustained at Southwick ended up keeping him out for the remainder of the season.

Vital MX say Bogle will race for the RCH/Yoshimura Factory Suzuki team in 2017. There’s been no official word but an announcement shouldn’t be too far away.

So the next question is: Who will be Bogle’s team-mate? We’ve heard again from our source about Justin Barcia and he has backtracked on Bam Bam joining RCH (we could justifiably get flamed for that one on social media). He now says Barcia – as heavily reported elsewhere – will, in fact, be on a JGR Suzuki in 2017.

If that’s the case does that mean James Stewart will be on RCH/Yoshimura Suzuki with Bogle? We’ve heard from another source that says not. More on that later.
