A 6,000 sell-out crowd packed into the Belfast Odyssey Arena and they weren’t disappointed. From the lowering of home-grown hero Gordon Crockard into the centre of the Arena to hard contested races – the crowd were kept riveted to their seats for the entire night.

Qualifying
Jack Brunnel carried his good form over from The O2, London by taking the third fastest time but the fastest lap was taken by Suzuki France rider, Cyrille Coulon.
Pro Main
The crowd was firmly behind Gordon Crockard but the Northern Irishman took a spill over the front of his bars and slammed his face into the dirt, ending his chance of a home turf win. But that wasn’t the end of the falls as the series favourite, Tom Church (SR75 World Team) had two offs in one lap. Teammate Carl Nunn worked hard on the difficult track and appeared pleased with his 5th place finish.
Adam Chatfield picked good lines and used his AMA SX experience to blast into the lead inside the first lap – he made it stick – bringing his Buildbase Honda home. That makes it two wins out of two for the British rider.
FMX
FMX never fails to get the crowd going but unfortunately the fans were denied the talent of Chris Birch as he spammed himself practicing a big turndown whip. Fortunately, E22 Sports – the organisers of Arenacross UK – already had the foresight to bring in15-year-old Spanish sensation, Chris Meyer and the young freestyle rider didn’t disappoint the Belfast crowd.
Sucks that I’m having to sit out tonight. Had a spill in practice but looking forward to the racing and the boys…

There’s a weeks well-deserved rest for the athletes before Arenacross moves to Birmingham’s LG Arena on February 2 before wrapping up in Liverpool on February 10.
