Cumbrian crowd-pleaser Jamie Law is lining up for his Arenacross UK tour debut in just over a month’s time and the 27-year-old Dyer & Butler KTM pilot is aiming to carry the momentum he built up outside in 2013 indoors in the New Year.

“I’ve had a good season and now I’ve had time to recharge I can’t wait for the indoors to get going,” says Jamie. “Anyone on that line can win, you just need to keep it together for 20 laps.”

Jamie sat out the 2013 series as he traded up from a 350 to a 450cc machine and took time to get his new mount dialled in. But he’s no newcomer to indoor success having won races in the youth ranks although having last raced SX in 2011 he knows he needs to take his pre-season prep seriously.

“With the winter we have I think I will have to venture to Spain to get some riding in but my fitness training is already well under way. Racing Arenacross is short and intense and there is no other race that gets the heart pumping the same.” Jamie will join forces on the Dyer & Butler team with Steven Clarke who is one of the most experienced indoor riders in the series with some great finishes in the AMA SX championship on his CV. So will the pair get their heads together and trade advice?

“I’m sure me and Steven will discuss lines and talk through a few things,” adds Jamie, “but when the gate drops it will be every man for himself.”

The seven-round 2014 Arenacross series kicks off with a double-header at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, on January 17/18 before travelling to the LG Arena, Birmingham (January 25), the Echo Arena, Liverpool (February 2), the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle (February 9) and the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield (February 15). The series signs off at London’s Wembley Arena on March 1.
