After battling his Paris crash injuries over the past two weeks Weston Peick felt he was well enough to share his thoughts for the first time this weekend.
Via Instagram, he shared his recovery progress and thanks for well-wishers, those that were able to give donations and his family and friends.
Peick is making positive steps towards recovery and is in the final hours of his stay in France. You can read what he had to say below but we must warn you some of the images he has shared, which chart his recovery, are a little graphic.
“Well this has been one hell of an injury I canāt even explain how much suffering has gone on over the past two weeks,” wrote Peick.
“I had well over 10 fractures throughout my face three surgeries. But itās finally turning for the better Iām walking around slowly and getting my body moving again, Iāll be flying back home to the states Tuesday.
“Huge shoutout to [Road 2 Recovery] and everyone that has made donations to help support this long positive journey to getting back on the bike.
“I canāt thank my family and friends enough for their prayers and positive thoughts. Big thanks to all of the people here in France that have made my stay easier and more suitable for my family.”
It’s great to see Weston will be going home soon, we wish him well for a full recovery.
