Supercross champion Jason Anderson delivered on the opening night at Paris Supercross 2018 successfully taking the overall ahead of Dylan Ferrandis and new team-mate Zach Osborne.
In SX2 Jace Owen finished ahead of Adrien Escoffier and Cameron McAdoo for Saturday’s podium.
To the delight of home fans, Dylan Ferrandis defeated the Americans in the second sprint race with Osborne finishing ahead of Anderson who finished third.
In the Final Ferrandis made a great start on Osborne’s wheel, before making a mistake leaving Anderson to battle hard with Osborne. The duel between the two team-mates was superb, Anderson finally taking the best to win this final and the evening.
Fourth in the final race behind Anderson, Osborne and Justin Brayton, Dylan Ferrandis finished second for the evening behind Anderson and ahead of Osborne.
During the final, Weston Peick, who suffered a serious fall, was quickly taken care of by the medical team. Suffering from ‘polytrauma’ as the organisers put it, he had to be taken to the hospital. Our best wishes for a full and speedy recovery go to Weston.
Jace Owen and Cameron McAdoo both won a sprint, Thomas Do and Adrien Escoffier being their most serious rivals from the French contingent.
