Londoners were treated to a tantalising taste of the crazy adrenalin-fuelled world of Garmin Arenacross when series promoter e22 Sports rolled out its ramps for a series of Freestyle Motocross shows outside the iconic Wembley Arena on Saturday.
The demos featured FMX heroes Dan Whitby, Samson Eaton and Arran Powley who are part of the team stunning capacity audiences and blowing minds across the UK for the last six weeks as part of the 2014 Garmin Arenacross Tour.
The displays were a pre-event promotion for the final round of the tour that crashes into the capital city for a series-ending showdown at Wembley Arena on Saturday March 1.
Blending top Professional indoor dirt bike racers from around the globe with world-class Freestyle Motocross pilots and the UK’s leading Youth stars, the 2014 tour features incredibly intense action on a purpose-built, jump-infested track crafted out of 10,000 tons of dirt. It’s a high-octane sensory feast set to a pumping soundtrack and lit-up by a spectacular laser show.
This will be your last chance this year to see 24 of the world’s fastest Pro riders go bar-to-bar over towering triple jumps before turning 180 degrees and then hammering flat-out through murderous, bike-swallowing mogul sections on a circuit designed to push them to their very limits.
Add in the insanity of Freestyle Motocross where riders including Spanish superstar Edgar Torronteras whip and backflip 100kg motorcycles 40ft above the arena floor and you’ve got a non-stop three-hour show that’ll send your mind into meltdown.
Tickets start at £12.75 for children and £22.25 for adults. Family tickets are available from £60. Prices include box office charges. To book yours call 0844 815 0815 or go to www.wembleyarena.co.uk
