Newcastle got a taste of Arenacross on Wednesday when our FMX roadshow called into the Toon centre for a media promotion at the city’s Metro Radio Arena.
Freestyle Motocross athletes Dan Whitby, Samson Eaton and Arran Powley hit the ramps in front of representatives from the region’s TV and radio stations and main newspapers and North Eastern racers Brad Anderson and brothers Joele and Buster Hart turned out for interviews.
The promotion was organised to publicise round five of the 2014 Arenacross championship at the Tyneside venue on Sunday February 9 and will be followed up by city centre shows in Belfast and Liverpool next month.
The seven-round 2014 Arenacross series kicks off with a double-header at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, on January 17/18 before travelling to the LG Arena, Birmingham (January 25), the Echo Arena, Liverpool (February 2), the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle (February 9) and the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield (February 15). The series signs off at London’s Wembley Arena on March 1.
