Thankfully to help feed our addiction, awesome film makers keep us topped up with dirt action on a regular basis. And it’s always a special day when we hear of a new one dropping and today is such a day.
Rob Mitchell Films, LLC announced today the highly anticipated release of the full-length off-road film, From The Other Side.
Featuring a number of high profile off-road racers and race series, the release of the film has been long-awaited as fans have eagerly watched teasers and had updates via social media throughout all stages of production.
“I’m extremely excited for the release of the film,” says Rob Mitchell, Producer of From The Other Side. “It has been a passion of mine to do a film showing the riders and their various struggles in the sport. It’s nice to see that passion come to fruition with this release.”
Motocross and supercross stars like Ryan Dungey and James Stewart are international stars of the sport. But there is a less popular and certainly less lucrative “other side” of dirt bike racing – off-road – which is the focus and inspiration for the film.
Viewers are introduced to a wide range of off-road racing personalities from Factory FMF/KTM racer and multi-time National Champion, Charlie Mullins, who is working his way back to the top after being sidelined for two years with injury, to top amateur racer, Jesse Ansley, who is just starting to chase his off-road racing dream.
The film shows that while each rider’s story and circumstance are unique, the passion for riding is a bond they all share.
The film is also as much about off-road racing itself as it is about the racers who compete in the sport. Off-road tests man and machine against the unknown; the terrain, the trails, and the courses are constantly evolving. Riders must be incredibly versatile and capable of excelling in any given environment. They are a unique breed of warrior; on the track, they are fiercely competitive, but when the racing is over, they are family.
They bond together over incredible stories from behind the bars. Through struggles, pain, and injuries, off-road racers persevere. Constantly continuing to push forward and never losing that love of simply riding. This is the story, From the Other Side.
From The Other Side features off-road pros and amateurs including Charlie Mullins, Brad Bakken, Jason Thomas, Evan Smith, Jesse Ansley, Lucas Statom, Chris Douglas, Dustin Simpson, TJ Snow, and others, as well as racing action from the GNCC, National Enduro, and Full Gas Sprint Enduro series.
